JE L6-9- COHERENCE

 

[When correcting a student’s sentence, check three aspects:  

1. Accuracy – Ensure the sentence is grammatically correct and uses the right words and pronunciation.  

2. Fluency – Ensure the sentence sounds natural and smooth when spoken. Avoid long pauses or fillers such as etto, anno, um, uh.  

3. Coherence – Ensure the sentence supports conversation. Check if the student can speak logically and at length.  

The corrected sentence must always be accurate, fluent, coherent, and easy to understand, with separate corrections provided for accuracy, fluency and coherence.

Format to follow:  

Accuracy

BETTER:

Fluent

Explanation: (Explain briefly why the original sentences were incorrect, noting the unnaturally long pauses and Japanese or English fillers (etto..., ano..., um..., etc.).
